Mbatovy Nickel Cobalt operations in Madagascar is searching for an experienced Business Improvement Superintendent - HSEQ Systems responsible to establish and maintain systems to support continuous improvement initiatives across the business that focus on efficient communication, waste identification and elimination, and on value creation from a quality, throughput, time, cost and safety point of view.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Support the implementation of agreed HSEQ improvement initiatives.
Understand and participate in the identification of the HSEQ risk pertinent to your work area.
Actively participate at HSEQ meetings and related initiatives.
Design and establish systems of work that encourage the generation of new continuous improvement ideas (BI initiatives)
Develop, implement and maintain effective communication of BI initiatives aimed
Establish routine reporting on the progress of continuous improvement initiatives
Support the sustainability of the continuous improvement culture across Ambatovy
Conduct periodic audits to verify and support effectiveness of continuous improvement tools & behaviors implementation and use.
Identify issues/opportunities and implement corrective actions to resolve.
Implement changes and set up structured tracking to ensure adequate follow-up.

The Requirements

Tertiary education in a relevant field
Minimum 8 years of relevant operational experience with 2 years’ experience in business improvement and systems design and implementation
Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
Coaching and teaching skills are assets
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good working knowledge of MS Office
Fluent in English. French is an asset.
