Description

The Corporate Communications department seek an intelligent and understanding fellow that will serve as the Communications Coordinator for their team on a 6-month contract Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications. Such individual must be able to work conveniently and comfortably in a fast paced environment adapting quickly to changes as well as being responsible for the creation of written and multimedia digital content for both internal and external purposes.

Main Responsibilities:

- Soliciting, writing, collecting and editing stories with an initial focus on Barrickā€™s Digital transformation
- Managing the design and production process, working with internal and external vendors
- Producing digital content for intranet and external website
- Contributing stories and create new content for the Barrick intranet, website, and other communication vehicles.
- Assisting with internal employee communications initiatives as required
- Writing and editing materials for a variety of external audiences including investors and other stakeholders
- Creating content for speeches and other presentations as required
- Assisting in various ad hoc reports, presentations, research and other general administrative requirements

Qualifications:

- A Degree or Diploma or its equivalent in Journalism, Communications or English
- 1-5 years work experience in Communications, Digital Media or Journalism
- Experience in the production of print and electronic publications
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of Spanish is an asset
