About this job:

We seek an intelligent and experienced individual that will serve as our Community Relations Manager who will lead the team in managing community relations strategy in line with our project objectives within the project target areas. The qualified individual will also be responsible for the development and the implementation of a community development strategy which will assist local people in the identification of issues as well as find solutions to their needs. They work together in taking action on the issues identified as well as supporting the development of local governance within the community by building their confidence and skills to participate.

Main Responsibilities:

- Working with the Project Management, Group General Manager Corporate Relations, Group Social Manager, Community Groups or Community Based Organisations among others in the development of a community development strategy that has clear guidelines.
- Ensuring the maintenance of the confidentiality of the Community Development Strategy.
- A mechanism for following up work to ensure they clearly fit in with the aims, objectives, and actions for implementation over the strategy.

Desired Qualifications:

- A degree in Sociology, Community or Rural Development, Political Sciences, Humanities or any other related field.
- A master degree in any related field would be an added advantage.
- At least ten years working experience in a similar role at a management position.
- Proactive personality with an ability to work independently.
- Vast knowledge of community-related issues in the oil and gas sector.
- Proven Conflict Resolution Skills as well as Certified Project Management Skills.
- Ability to present excellent and compelling training programs when required.
