We seek an experienced candidate for the role of Head of Central Operations. The qualified candidate for the job is to propel the best practice in the business operations management of ICAEW. The candidate is also to make sure that the contracts in which ICAEW enters go through proper inspection and the necessary thoroughness. The candidate is to improve the best practices and policies in projects, contracts, and handling of data. The candidate is to bring new projects to the business areas to realization and ensure they are properly evaluated. The candidate is to recognize the opportunities required for improvements in place processes and efficiency of operations across ICAEW
The candidate is to report to the Compliance Manager and Legal Policy with a two membered team, and the Officer of Data Protection

Main responsibilities:

- Commercial legal management
o Elevating a good practice manner of IP and contract policy across ICAEW
o Monitoring the contract management processes, legal support, and policies of ICAEW
o Making policies for contract authorization in way that is risk appropriate across all the locations of ICAEW
o Monitoring the thoroughness of the execution of contracts; to include commercial, legal, data protection, IP and considerations of insurance
o Making sure that the business functions possess the required understanding of various agreements, and that they are used in the right way
- Management of Project and Programme
o Building up the business case processes of ICAEW to a responsive state
o Helping the business areas to develop proposals and conduct analysis on the Finance Director’s behalf and the review of post-implementation
o Liaising with the Head of Strategy in managing the program of projects of ICAEW and making sure they are effectively reported and managed according to the financial guidelines and strategies of ICAEW
o Enhance the use of toolkits for projects in ICAEW
- Protection of Data and Strategy of Data
o Supervise the work of the officer of data protection
o Encouraging the employment of best practices in data protection and data management across ICAEW
o Assisting in the improvement of the data strategy of ICAEW
o Making sure the capabilities and resources are readily available to meet the levels of compliance expected
- Operational Improvement
o Detecting the opportunities make processes and workflows more efficient, to include any that can arise from the transformation program of business systems
- The candidate is to put into consideration cases for the centralization of functions with the necessary support of service for the areas of business.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

- Exceptional influencing and communication skills at every level of the organization
- Ability to create and maintain strong relationships between the teams
- A solid background in risk management, project management, operational improvement or corporate legal processes
- A sound knowledge of the lifecycle of contracts
- An acceptable level of experience in project management
- Knowledge of the requirements of data protection, including GDPR
