About the job:
We seek an experienced Head of Sales to join the growing and highly successful US team in the events and publishing division of the company.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing and direct sponsorship selling into the accounts of clients across the initiatives of events and publishing
- Periodically traveling all over the US and Latin America
- Basing at the Headquarters in New York and reporting to the Global Managing Director
- Leading a team of 5, and selling a variety of solutions to business development including thought leadership publishing, flagship forums, panel discussions, industry awards and digital broadcasts
- Achieving monthly and annual revenue targets
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, and an impeccable track record of responsibilities in management or mentorship
- Experience making sales financial or professional services firms
- High drive, with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset and a “hunter-like” sales mentality
- A strong acumen for marketing
- Outstanding presentational and negotiating skills
- Ability to write proposals and build sponsorship packages is a plus
- Ability to function in a team, and a strong collegial demeanor
- A college Degree of 4 years
- Advanced skills in new business sales
- A strong interest in the trends of the current economic and financial market trends
The candidate’s portfolio of events and publications must cover a variety of topics such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital market, distressed debt and leverage finance, and a growing number initiatives specific to sectors such as technology, energy, financial services, infrastructure, and healthcare.
