We are looking for an experienced person to serve as a Water Resources Engineer / Geoscientist inToronto.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven candidate to focus on water resources projects such as hydraulics, hydrology and other surface water studies.

Requirements:

Requires a Certificate /Diploma in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering, Geosciences or related field;
Must be eligible to register with professional association (e.g. APEGBC)
Minimum of 6 year’s experience within relevant industry or consulting experience;
Solid grounding in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
Commitment to excellence in modeling adaptability.
Strong complementing field knowledge.
Previous working experience in western Canada
Proven ability to organize and manage time.
Able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player of a dynamic team
Demonstrable experience networking, business development and client relationship
Strong ability to conceptualize and write proposals, technical report.
An excellent communicator, bilingual in English

Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizing industry standard software in hydrological and hydraulic modeling
Evaluate surface drainage of existing and proposed project sites
Be responsible for hydrological assessments for environmental impact studies;
Monitor all hydrologic activities like flood control, flood inundation, dam breach and consequence, etc.
Manage hydro-geological studies such as hydraulics of river or estuary, storm water drainage systems, erosion control and remediation.
Study PMF/PMP
Play a key role in planning and designing mine site drainage, studying water balance, sourcing surface water.
