We seek a seasoned International Compensation & Benefits Specialist who will serve as a key member of DEME’s C&B and Global Mobility team as well as report to our C&B Manager.

Main responsibilities:

- Serving as the key contributor to the further development of competitive and cost-conscious global compensation, benefit and mobility policies in cooperation with our HR Business Partners and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Advising on the structure of international payrolls, international employment contracts, and consultancy or freelance agreement aligning with strategic business needs.
- Serving as the custodian of international personal income tax matters for our DEME group employees about cross-border projects, secondments, long or short term international assignments, commuter assignments, among others.
- Ensuring the compliance with personal income tax obligations either Belgian or foreign in close consultation with external service providers
- Providing expert on time in full coordination across our HR, Tax, and Finance communities.
- Pushing and pulling various improvement programs and the continued development of “best practice” processes in your areas of expertise
- Ensuring sustainable business value by ensuring cost optimization opportunities.

Qualification:

- A master degree in law complemented by a postgraduate in tax.
- Being fascinated by international C&B, social security and income tax matters.
- Five years demonstrated experience in a multinational and fast-paced business environment.
- Highly structured thinking skills with the ability to communicate with employees clearly at all levels of our organization.
- Possession of entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on and engaging personality
- Possession of great analytical and influencing skills as well as being a result oriented change agent.
- Excellent knowledge of English and any other language is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel around the world are required.
