About the job:

We seek an individual that will serve as an Engineer within our Trading Operation Specialist Team and be responsible for the availability of trading and trading related applications. The qualified individual will be responsible for technical support, troubleshooting, application performance management and close interaction with the Traders.

Main Responsibilities:

- Operating in a dynamic environment where complex challenges that require innovative solutions are common with distinct IT talents and affinity for electronic trading.
- Taking ownership of an issue as well as being aware of the contribution of any action taken in relationship to the profit and loss of the company in a direct manner.
- Providing technical support in regards to the full set of Trading IT support as well as responding quickly to any issue that might affect the mission critical trading applications.
- Ensuring the management of project and change.
- Performing migrations and transitions as well as updating, maintaining and upgrading our trading infrastructures.
- Implementing, configuring and maintaining the optimization and support of mission critical trading applications.
- Implementing new exchange connections in addition to the enhancement of existing connectivity.
- Troubleshooting all exchange or broker related issues as well as managing incidents.
- Monitoring and administering trading application and IT infrastructure components.
- Observing the trading environment as well as bringing about a proactive optimization of the trading infrastructure.

Requirements:

- A degree in Computer Science, Technology or related field;
- Solid knowledge in several operating systems & relevant hardware;
- Basic Network related skills including TCP, Multicast and Routing are highly desirable
- Knowledge and experience in scripting especially in Python, C+, Bash and Java are advantageous.
- Passion about the dynamics of financial markets.
- Analytical and problem solving skills for the purpose of making our company one of the best.
- Client-focused and service-minded approach with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to self-start as a team as well as being highly organized.
- Fluency in English communication skills is required.
