The Production Leadman role will be responsible for training, scheduling, and leadership of hourly maintenance team, as well as all contract maintenance activities for the Quarry. Successfully implement and help coordinate the company’s Safety Program and ensure compliance with all applicable Colorado State and Federal regulations.

Requirements:

Observe and uphold all Safety policies and laws
5 years’ experience production in a aggregate/quarry setting
3 years in a supervisory/ leadership position
Strong leadership skill and the ability to lead, manage, and motivate.
Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize, delegate and manage multiple tasks with strong planning skills.
Experience in operating heavy equipment, CAT 980/988
Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external (i.e. vendors and contractors) individuals.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; JDE experience a plus.
Must pass drug screen and have a clean driving record

Minimum Education and Experience

Minimum 5 years experience preferably in aggregates industry
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)
Understand team based management
Self-starter with ability to work with little or no supervision
Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language
Strong mechanical knowledge
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as required
Experience in QC/QA a plus

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner. This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection
Must have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipment
Must be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 ft. and work at this height
Must be able to work in confined spaces
Ability to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as required
Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipment
Lift up to 75 lbs
Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain.
Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
