This position reports to the Corporate Controller and is a key leader in the Controller’s Group. Utilizing a background in accounting, tax, and finance, this position is responsible for managing global tax provisioning, global transfer pricing compliance, financial analysis and other finance projects.
Position Responsibilities

To manage regional and global teams in preparing consistent, accurate and timely tax accounting information under IFRS
To provide support to regional finance teams in managing change resulting from transactions and tax regulations
To lead insightful analysis to proactively forecast the tax impact on results
To manage regional and global teams in preparing consistent, accurate and timely transfer pricing documentation
To lead in the development and growth of regional knowledge of transfer pricing issues and practices
To support regions in establishing processes to handle new transfer pricing transactions and new transfer pricing guidance/regulations
To deliver high quality, regular and ad-hoc financial analysis and presentations to Senior Leaders.
To lead a variety of ad hoc projects that arise from time to time in the areas of financial analysis, reporting, tax and/or transfer pricing

Position Qualifications

Education/Professional Designation

University degree in Business and/or Finance (Commerce/Accounting)
Professional Designation required: Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)

Experience and Knowledge

Minimum 5 years of post-designation accounting and/or industry experience
Management experience is strongly preferred
Exposure to public company disclosure and reporting
Experience with ERP/Integrated accounting systems (PeopleSoft experience is preferred)
Strong knowledge base of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Able to manage competing priories from multiple customers in an effective and positive manner
Able to resolve problems, see broad/multiple perspectives on issues, think globally
Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and be proactive when resolving issues
