We seek an experienced Project Supervisor to supervise a group of a few members in the assembly, rig-up, and commissioning of newly built and refurbished rigs
The candidate qualified for this job would be working both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold or heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The candidate would be regularly exposed to the conditions of the local area where the good pad is located and must work with personal safety and the safety of others in mind, including co-workers and third parties.
The candidate must be able to work closely with the others assigned to the rig construction process, and must be willing to work with inconsistent work schedules, including working on weekends. This schedule is to include days and nights, and weekends and holidays.
As a supervisor, the candidate must well pad crew members, third party workers, crane operators, and others as required

Main responsibility:

- Supervising a group of 5 –10 crew members directly to assemble, rig-up, and commission newly built and refurbished rigs
- Planning the daily work while partnering with the Director of Rig Construction, Project Managers, and every other team member
- Maintaining the current status of project schedules to plan, prioritize, and monitor the workload of the established project teams effectively
- Developing weekly project schedules, ensuring daily services and trades such as welding, electrical, hydraulics, and rigging services are slated to perform work based on the timelines established
- Ensuring all equipment and tools required to complete the daily and weekly rig construction tasks are available whenever needed by coordinating with vendors, procurement, and the shipping and receiving departments and others
- Assisting with leading the pre and post job site meetings as required and participating in schedule development meetings providing accurate and relevant production information gotten from pad foreman
- Managing the comprehensive commissioning process for each project, and ensuring that every work is completed according to the quality standards of the company
- Assessing issues of projects and consulting with the Director of Rig Construction for developing resolutions to meet the productivity and quality standards, and the specifications of the customer
- Reviewing drawings, blueprints, rig construction procedures, and checklists with crews and providing technical advice to ensure that the design standards, API codes (American Petroleum Institute), and operational guidelines are followed
- Assisting the management with building and maintaining a safety culture that is incident-free by conducting safety observations that are behaviour-based, and auditing Time Out for Safety (TOS) daily records and work processes performed by paid crew members and other site personnel to identify the risks and provide recommendations immediately, and input to revise safety processes
- Ensuring that corrective measures are initiated to address and document incidents accurately through the incident management system
- Keeping the management informed of the progress, schedule variances, and incidents following the appropriate chain of command and utilizing platforms of meetings, formal written reports, and informal communication methods
- Managing the utilized equipment at the rig construction yard, ensuring that the operators are trained to operate the equipment safely, and equipment inspections are completed within the time frame designated

Requirements:

- Working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, sitting, regularly climbing steep stairs, and walking on slick and uneven surfaces
- While on the job; lifting or carrying, pulling or pushing, reaching, squatting, kneel, and climbing ladders or stairs
- Frequently exerting a force of 25-50 pounds regularly, and 10-20 pounds constantly to move objects
- Maintaining a spatial orientation and awareness to move around work environment with many moving objects safely
- A good and clear vision to judge near and far distances to watch, direct, and maintain awareness of ongoing work activities of employees or third party
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand oral and written instructions and also give oral and written instructions to direct employees and third parties, and communicate with customer representatives
- Wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times designated
- Interpreting policies, report, blueprints, and purchase orders
- Ability to speak and present information to small and large audiences
- Familiarity with the guidelines of the American Petroleum Institute
- Familiarity with the use of heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, man lifts, extended booms, etc.
- Ability to perform basic calculations such as addition, subtraction, division in all units of measure, and using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Acceptable computer skills in Microsoft Office, with the ability to an email correspondence formal written reports, and schedules
