About the job:
We seek an experienced Restaurant Manager to direct, manage and coordinate the schedules of the restaurants’ employees and the resources of the restaurant for efficiency, well-preparation, and profitability
Main Responsibilities:
The candidate for this job must be able to satisfy the customers in the following ways:
- Meeting, greeting and getting good feedbacks from the patronisers of the restaurant
- Investigating and resolving complaints concerning the services and quality of food
- Ensuring that the other employees deliver high quality consumer service standards
The candidate must also perform the following operations:
- Overseeing the day to day activities carried out by the restaurant including the layout of the floor plan and the table arrangements, providing solutions to the complaints of guests and the grievances of employees
- Recruiting of service line staff and striving to hire the right candidates, and liaising with Human Resources on all the needs of recruitment and requisition of manpower
- Directing and scheduling the activities of the employees of the restaurant
- Planning marketing campaigns with the marketing department and implementing the strategies necessary to meet sales
- Ensuring that the guidance of the restaurant employees is provided, and the guests receive prompt and excellent customer services friendly and professionally
- Ensuring that the restaurant’s reputation and ethos are maintained while operating efficiently and profitably
- Maintaining high standards of service and taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurants
- Preparing monthly reports for the Monthly Operations Review
- Reviewing and monitoring expenditures so that they conform to the limits of the budget and also improve performance
- Enforcing sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and dining areas for Food Hygiene and Safety Standards
The following performance standards are the responsibility of the candidate:
- Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurants
- Analyzing the sales level and profitability of the restaurant
- Understanding the different stations of the restaurant and having practical competence in all of them
- Development improvement processes to improve the service quality and achieving the sales targets and customer satisfaction
- Creating a sound and strong working relationship with all the staff and helping them to develop their maximum potential
- Evaluating the operation procedures and suggesting improvements
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Hotel Management or any of the related disciplines
- A minimum of 5 years’ of relevant working experience in similar capacity and in the F&B sector
- Fluency in both English and German
