We seek an experienced Sales Manager to manage the sales and delivery activities for the division of sand and gravel. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable disabled individuals to carry out their essential functions

Main responsibilities:

- Developing and implementing sales plans that are strategic to accomplish the corporate goals
- Managing all activities if sales, including the negotiations in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma
- Maintaining and developing a monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget or forecast
- Managing aggregate deliveries and relationships with the carriers of contract
- Developing quotes or bids for projects and annual pricing for products of sand, and negotiating the delivery rates for the contract carriers
- Promoting products of sand, and developing new markets and uses for the products of the company
- Coordinating and conducting sales presentations to clients and prospective clients
- Communicating regularly, and meeting with the current and prospective clients to grow relationships
- Involving in industry and civic organizations actively
- Coordinating communications between the sales department and other departments such as Production, Quality Control, Operations, Safety, and Accounting
- Analyzing the reports of sales and profitability by market, customer, and products
- Monitoring and evaluating the competition’s activities and products
- Coordinating with the Credit Manager on new accounts and collections
- Resolving the needs and complaints of customers
The following are the Supervisory Responsibilities of the candidate:
- Managing the personnel of sales and dispatch
- Performing supervisory responsibilities according to the policies and applicable laws of the organization
- Assisting in the process of training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, employee rewarding and disciplining, complaints addressing and problem resolution.

Requirements:

- A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales in an aggregate industry
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals of general business, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals of procedure, present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply the basic concepts of algebra, and geometry
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions that are valid
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in a mathematical or diagrammatic form, and deal with several variables that are abstract and concrete
- A working knowledge of the tools of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and ability to effectively use the internet and e-mail
- Successful performance of essential functions. Reasonable accommodation for disabled individuals to perform essential functions would be provided
- Regularly talking or listening, standing and walking, sitting, using hands to manipulate or feel, reaching with arms and hands, climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Frequent ladder and step climbing, and regular lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 75 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, and depth perception are specifically required
- Ability to travel locally
