About the job:

We seek an experienced Senior Manager/ Associate Director to work with a Group that handles post-trade activities for clients and to ensures that the post-trading activities happen on time, with recordings of an accurate view of the positions, cash, and the P&L in the books. The group works with counterparties and investment managers to achieve these, and carry out primary activities which include daily street reconciliations, settlements, P&L reconciliations, and fund accounting such as GAV and NAV preparation. The group uses a lot of strategies and different kinds of financial instruments varying across different geographies and time zones

Main responsibilities:

- Driving technology or Ops projects and actively overseeing the day to day operations, escalation of aged breaks, troubleshooting Business-as-usual, and setting goals and directions for people
- Accountability for the working production of the team such as the daily trade, reconciliation of position and cash to the prime brokers or custodians as well as the accruals of all income or expenses
- Working with the investment managers and the prime brokers to resolve daily exceptions and developing more strategic initiatives
- Liaising internally with other functions like pricing, middle office, and management of collateral to resolve any discrepancies and responding to the queries rising internally
- Assisting the team and reviewing for the accounting close, monthly or bi-weekly, and providing adequate support needed for outstanding breaks, and preparing the month-end binder
- Working with the local and the New York team to define strategy, new automation, prioritization of projects, etc.
- Assisting the auditors and the fund administrators during the Auditing and NAV finalization processes
- Working with the technology team whenever needed to assist with special projects, developing bespoke reports, developing specifications, product implementation, and UAT

Requirements:

- An MBA in Finance, CFA, CA, or any other relevant qualification
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience in collateral management for hedge funds
- Familiarity with typical financial arrangements and their various margining methodologies
- A deep knowledge of domain or finance, with stern attention to detail
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Experience in managing high performers
- A drive to enhance the efficiency of processes, and strong skills in project management
- Ability to act as a manager, and effectively is a plus
- A strong communication and collaborative skills, with MS Excel proficiency, are an advantage
- Experience in lending and borrowing of securities, and portfolio financing optimization is a plus
