Description

Responsibilities:

Report to Director of Revenue Strategy to manage inventory for the hotel to maximize revenue in all areas
Ensure a consistent and rational hotel pricing and yield strategy across all channels and all segments
Accurately prepare Monthly and Weekly Forecasts (DayXDay) for all transient segments, group and other business units if required, i.e. function space
Participate in the preparations of the transient and group rooms budgets
Proactively provide data to the team for the purpose of analyzing and evaluating specific business segments, specific accounts, market segment mix, room type demand, channel production and geographical mix, recognizing trends and patterns
Proactively analyze and communicate business trends and booking pace to revenue team in comparison to the market, last year, forecast and budget
Continually analyze transient demand, price sensitivity and booking patterns, recognize trends and their relevance to one another and provide pricing, inventory and selling strategy recommendations
Assist in providing recommendations for Corporate and Leisure account strategies based on past production and future expectations
Assist in developing 3-month, 6-month, and 12-months strategic action plans for the management of the transient revenues
Work with the Sales Department and define booking terms, conditions and allotments for all transient segments
Coach Sales & Marketing colleagues on hotel's selling strategies
Effectively use systems (SMS, RedX, IDeaS and Delphi) to determine, implement, manage and control accurate and agreed upon selling strategies
Participate in meetings as needed and provide valuable input

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of revenue management experience in luxury hotel
Strong analytical and forecasting skills
Effective time management, communication and presentation skills
Holds self and others accountable for achieving results
Addresses conflict or problems in a timely manner, creative problem solving skills
Makes decisions and commits to a course of action with available information
Enjoys working in a team environment as well as on their own initiative
Deals with change effectively
