Description
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
The project development is located offshore Angola in deep water, and includes:
New Reservoirs Development
Additional Infill wells
Multiphase Pumps Installation
Electrical Connection between 2 FPSO’s (Power umbilical installation)
Topsides FPSO Modifications: Structure, Hydraulic, Electrical power, Chemicals, Methanol, ICSS, I-Tubes, Electrical power connection, …
The scope of the SPS team is to follow-up the SPS contractor responsible for the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing/Fabrication/Construction, Testing and Supply of Subsea equipment.
SCOPE OF THE JOB
Ensure that the Company SPS group are operating within a coherent quality management system
Review Contractor's QA/QC plans and procedures to verify if they comply with contractual obligations and establish how Contractor ensures adherence with its procedures/processes approved by its management.
Review Contractor's QA/QC Organization to verify its adequacy and effectiveness to address all quality issues.
Review records of and participate in internal and external audits performed by Company or Contractor.
Advise the SPS Manager and QA Manager regarding the need for audits on the Contractor and their Suppliers and Subcontractors. Weekly and monthly reports shall be issued to SPS Manager and QA Manager.
Review Contractor's purchase orders to verify if the Contractual QA/QC requirements have been included in purchase orders.
Develop and maintain the Contractor surveillance plan based on Company criticality assessment and project specifications.
Review Inspection and Test Plans to verify that Contractor is performing all required inspections and witnessing all required tests. Mark up Inspection and Test plans with witness and hold points for Inspection and test. Ensure that surveillance is completed in accordance with said procedures/plans.
Review inspection reports and records of quality control carried out by Contractor on completed and running purchase orders. Assess adequacy and competence of Contractor Quality Organization at the engineering, construction, testing, installation and commissioning phases to assure that the applicable quality standards are consistently achieved.
Review Inspectors deliverables, analyze and resolve issues and problems emerging during the quality control activity.
Review, comment and approve Contractor's QA/QC Documentation/Dossiers for correctness and conformity prior to a structured handover to commissioning team.
Systematically review Contractor Non Conformance reports and dispositions. Intervene as necessary where warranted.
Ensure proper root cause analysis of Contractor Quality failures is undertaken, and conclusions are reached and corrective actions undertaken.
Participate in Contractor investigations of significant Quality failures and offshore/installation failures.
Receive and review Contractor field performance reports and initiate/monitor corrective action/resolution progress
Lead regular (quarterly or bi-annual) Quality reviews with Contractor to review quality KPRS, quality improvement efforts, quality issues/failures, NCR trends, FPR trends etc.
HSEQ responsibilities:
Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives
Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system (plans, procedures and specifications)
LOCATION
Resident in Norway at SPS contractor sites during detailed engineering and construction phase.
Frequent missions, including to Angola, to be anticipated.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education to HNC level or above in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
Lead Assessors Course with examination pass (recognized by IRCA)
A recognized Quality Assurance or Quality Management qualification.
Be generally conversant with Subsea Production System type Vendors, equipment, processes and facilities
Wide experience with manufacturing and testing of subsea equipment and the related quality assurance and control processes.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years experience in a QA/QC role in the Oil and Gas Industry, of which 5 years shall have covered all aspects of subsea engineering and fabrication.
