Description

The Anadarko Petroleum Corporation has a vacant role of Lead Recruiter open in the Woodlands at their TX office. The candidate qualified for this job would report to the Talent Acquisition Manager with accountability of work to the Global LNG team. The candidate would be responsible for the assessment of current processes, policies, and tools for identifying gaps and developing recommendations that would meet the needs of the Mozambique LNG project. This would include developing recruitment strategies that leverage market trends and best practices to develop candidate marketing campaigns to attract LNG talent globally
This position does not require relocation, with 10-15% of travel. The work schedule for this position can be the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.

Main responsibilities:

- Participating in the project work of the Mozambique LNG, and executing activities related to the area of talent acquisition
- Working effectively with the executives, managers or supervisors, and employees on diverse matters and issues, and taking responsibility for ensuring that all the applicable employment laws and regulations are complied with
- Developing and implementing strategies for recruitment to support global recruiting on a large scale for both employees and direct contractors. Working with the other HR functions as required
- Assessing the current processes, policies, and tools to identify gaps based on the business outcome required
- Developing and making recommendations to the leadership on how Tom resolve gaps

- Liaising with the other HR functions to help in ensuring that the talent acquisition processes are effectively and efficiently carried out
- Reviewing and enhancing the description of jobs wherever necessary, working with the HR Business Partner and business hiring manager to ensure that the requirements are adequately represented
- Developing protocols to track, report and communicate metrics of recruiting

- Attending recruiting events to brand Anadarko as an employer of choice, and increase LNG Mozambique’s visibility
- Managing the recruiting process through working with the project recruiters and third-party vendors
- Actively sourcing for candidates leveraging the social media, networks and emerging technologies
- Pre-screening candidates to ensure that the qualifications are met

- Providing the candidates with the benefits overview and understanding of the compensation package
- Developing a compensation recommendation for offer letters send out to the candidates
- Assisting with the pre-employment activities for the candidate as required
- Supporting the other projects related to HR talent acquisition and initiatives as necessary

Requirements:

- A bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- An M.BA or M.S is a plus.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in human resources
- 12 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and HR Generalist roles, with experience in staffing international oil and gas projects
- Experience in major international projects, specifically building large downstream facilities
- Experience in supporting projects directly in Africa
- Experience working on a Greenfield project, and in a start-up environment
- Experience in utilizing the social media for recruiting purposes
- Ability to develop a long-term strategy for global recruitment while executing on short-term priorities and accomplishing critical milestones
- Ability to work effectively across multiple HR functions and business teams, understanding and anticipating the needs of the stakeholder, and collaborating to develop solutions that are effective
- Fluent written and oral communication skills, to interact and interface with internal clients and external candidates
- Refined interviewing techniques to draw relevant information from a candidate
- Ability to respect and manage confidential information
- An extremely organized individual who can effectively manage multiple job openings in an environment of high activity
- Excellent computer skills with applications such as MS Office Suite, SAP, Taleo, SuccessFactors
- Certification or Licenses such as PHR or SHRM-CP, SPHR or SHRM-SCP, GPHR or any relevant certification is preferred
