Exciting opportunity within Aerospace Marketing & Product Management (M&PM) in Asia Pacific to promote Honeywell growth!
Honeywell Aerospace is a leading global provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for airlines, aircraft manufacturers, business and general aviation, military, space and airport operations.
The Strategic Marketing Manager positioned in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, reports to the VP, Defense & Space, APAC, and supports segment leader, as a core member of the regional team driving growth for APAC Aero business.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Accountable for all aspects of strategic planning and marketing for related business segments in Asia Pacific.
• Responsible for Strategic Action Plan (STRAP). Annually, lead the process of refining five-year plan, including analysis of market trends, threats, opportunities, setting business priorities, developing strategic initiatives and milestone planning, building financial forecast, and socializing and communicating the plan.
• Analyze customers’ and competitors’ strategies and determine implications for Honeywell’s ability to differentiate in the market. Performs segmentation analysis and develops the strategy that fits our competencies
• Conduct market-back reports to leadership that analyze market erosion and growth; recommend strategies to claw back and drive revenue and operating income
• Work closely with Product Families and leadership to influence portfolio shaping actions for the Defense and Space business
• Work with regional teams to ensure strategies are aggressive, consistent, communicated and actionable
• Support other global and regional strategic marketing or business development activities
• Significant interfacing with parties outside of Honeywell including potential partners in APAC to help increase product sales
• Presentation of recurring High Growth Region updates to the ALT as well as annual development of High Growth Region STRAP for SE Asia

Qualifications – External

The critical factors for success include the ability to effectively frame and communicate complex market issues in a concise manner (both written and orally), strong interviewing and market research skills, and an ability to work across functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• MBA in marketing/strategy, or other relevant discipline
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in strategy or product marketing or management consulting or other relevant discipline
• At least 3 years of experience leading Segmentation, VOC, and business plans
• Strong and demonstrated B2B analytical, financial, strategic thinking and marketing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
• Excellent team building and membership skills, ability to lead and thrive in a matrix environment
• Professional presence and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
• Skilled in Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint & Excel
• Ability to travel both domestically in Malaysia and internationally.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in the airlines industry
• Breadth of experience with aerospace products (mechanical and electronics) and aftermarket services
• Result-driven self-starter with minimum supervision
• Results focused with successful record of accomplishments through skilled use of influence, persuasion, negotiation, and problem resolution.
