Our client is a leading E&P company operating in Oman. They are currently looking to recruit a New Ventures Advisor who can Support and undertake robust technical due diligence/assessments on potential new upstream opportunities.

The Role:
- Deal sourcing and identifying opportunities for business acquisitions
- Manage & coordinate the Acquisition & Divestments process as per business strategy
- Manage transactions from start to finish including coordinating due diligence exercises, coordinating with Advisors, Lawyers and Accountants
- Preparing teasers, confidential information memorandums, management presentations and investment proposals
- Actively participate in the structuring, negotiating and execution of deals
- Ensure liaison with other departments as appropriate in relation to strategic proposals, projects, technical, legal, financing, tax, or other issues
- Develop comprehensive documentation (research papers, presentations, investment memorandums) to support investment decisions
- Provide inputs to management based on market information to enable the organization to develop capability in areas and give strategic leverage for future projects
- Gather and analyze market intelligence for new projects and opportunities and maintaining up to date information on industry trends and competitors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- BSc in Engineering or Geoscience with commercial exposure would be an advantage
- 10+ years of relevant experience required
- Track record of managing Acquisition & Divestment transactions from inception to completion
- Working knowledge of M&A valuation analysis including accretion/dilution, comparable trading and transaction multiples and DCF/NAV
- Strong communications & Negotiation skills
- Self starter with the ability to multi task while maintaining priorities
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning and presentation skills
- Fluent spoken and written English is essential
- Experience working in a similar role within the upstream oil & gas sector
- Experience in the Middle East is essential, experience in Oman will be a big plus
