Job scope (tasks & accountabilities):
ensuring smooth and reliable operations of 82q a320 tsp fleet operated on international routes and composed of.
proposing and implementing with the customer and the subcontractor improvements to the maintenance processes of aircraft fleet
management of all technical representatives reporting directly to the jobholder
developing and executing short and long term strategic plans to ensure safe operations of aircraft fleet
producing and securing annual budget figures for department operations and ensure costs kept within the targeted budget
strengthening relationship with client, focusing on client satisfaction, managing daily reporting and coordination with customer’s senior management.
supervising and close monitoring of mro and suppliers maintenance activities
management of the technical interface and coordination with the customer, the tsp team, subcontractor and the airbus teams in europe (se / airtac / scsd)
main problems to be solved in the position:
overall management of 82q a320 tsp aircraft operations and customer interfaces.
management of all direct reporting personnel with assignments and objectives and ensure these are met by each staff member.
in order to maintain contracted performance, produce short and long term strategies for maintaining and increasing aircraft performance including department head count and skill sets and training requirements.
coordinate technical issues with all involved parties: customer, subcontractor, airbus team in singapore, in delhi and in europe.
working with tsp director and business administrator, produce an annual operating budget for the department and ensure department operates within the agreed budget figures.
overall focal point for all aog at either outstation or base, implementation of technical recovery plan via the management of the tsp team inclusive of technical support and guidance, logistical support, airtac/se communication flows, 82q updating process and long term rectification plan.
manage and validate all the technical information necessary for the daily interface on all technical issues to 82q senior level management meetings (vp level and above), along with the aircraft performance/reliability figures and in addition to provide guidance to the tsp team responsible for the update on a daily basis.
manage the critical interface between tsp, 82q and suppliers for the scheduling of aircraft maintenance, defect rectification, defect analysis, a check / c check critical path analysis, check scheduling, aircraft utilisation, modification embodiment and status, configuration change, aircraft changes due aog.
ensure that the reporting process from line activities is strong and effective. identify daily critical issues. prioritise the tasks to be performed and delegate to the appropriate tsp maintenance representative. focus on reducing the number of deferred defects and opened mels to the lowest level possible ensuring a high level of fleet health.
perform analysis of the aircraft despatch reliability performance figures and implement the necessary recovery actions or improvement processes through the tsp / mro teams for implementation.
focal point for all engineering and maintenance issues.
ensure that the tsp manual process integration is in harmony with the airworthiness requirements of dgca, 82q, aib, mro and supplier agreements.
review any h & s issues and to implement and manage recovery action through tsp team and suppliers.
major end purposes:
maintain or exceed the contracted performance figures as stated in tsp agreement.
review and produce strategies to drive more efficiencies and performance of aircraft and personnel.
calculate and secure annual operating budget and delivery the services in accordance with the agreed monitory budget
management of direct reporting personnel by providing daily work assignments and annual objectives and monitor achievements.
ensure all maintenance is performed on-time and to budget plus ensure aircraft is re-delivered on schedule.
where possible keep the deferred defects to a minimum.
required domain expertise (skills):
graduate/post graduate engineer (aerospace engineering / mechanical engineering/civil engineering)
the requirement is a structural design engineer, widely experienced, knowledgeable on airworthiness and on structure engineering, with an integrated view of the aircraft design and its operation/maintenance.
